8 Easy Steps For Planning Your Next Trip Perfectly
You’ve done it before and you can do it again! Planning your next trip can seem like an overwhelming experience, especially if you haven’t traveled much or are going to somewhere new. You want to make sure you don’t forget anything, but at the same time, you don’t want to spend all of your savings on the trip! Whether it’s your first time traveling outside of the country or your 30th, follow these eight easy steps to planning your next trip perfectly!
1) Determine your travel dates
The first step to planning a trip is determining your travel dates. This should be easy enough, but it’s worth checking the airline schedule to make sure you’re not taking off on the same day as a holiday or a major sporting event. Also, if you plan on traveling during peak season, book your flight and hotel as soon as possible. Don’t wait until the last minute or you might miss out on some of the best deals.
I have booked an around the world flight and left gaps to organise flights inbetween later once i’m there. You have to pay a bit more but if you get an around the world fare make sure it is one you can change a few times just in case you want to stay longer.
2) Choose your destination
The destination you choose has a big impact on how you plan your trip. With so many options, it’s hard to know where to start.
Here are eight easy steps that will help you plan your next trip perfectly:
a) Get familiar with the culture and customs of the country or region you’re visiting.
b/ identify the reason for your trip
c/ time restraints can i do it at later time including closer destinations.
d/ how expensive is this destination, does it fit my budget. Although at time i have been wooried about the cost and just gone anyway.
e/is the destination safe , no dangers to visitors.
f/does this place have the necessary amenties… accomodationat a level i can stay.
g/ is the destination close to food sources for independant stay or am i dependant on the hotel for my meals, this could be a case on a island.
h/is it going to take 2 plane trips and 2 boat trips to get there.
3) Set your budget
Planning is the most important part of a successful trip. You’ll want to start by setting your budget, which you can do by figuring out how much money you have available and how much you’re willing to spend. Different travel styles will require different budgets, so choose one that’s going to work for you. If your budget is low, try booking hostels or staying with friends or family in their homes.House swap is another one or house minding.
If you save points up you can trade them for flights plus some cash. Also keep an eye on airlines to see who is having specials.
4) Book your flights
Start by looking at your budget and deciding where you want to go. We recommend using Skyscanner’s Explore tool, which will show you the cheapest destination to fly from your nearest airport.
Another good one is google flights.
Book more direct flights as i hate waiting around airports.
5) Reserve your accommodations
Reserving your accommodations is the first step in planning your perfect trip. Don’t worry, there are plenty of websites that can help you find where to stay and they make it easy by letting you filter by price, location, and amenities. You’ll want to make sure to reserve your hotel or Airbnb well in advance so that you can get the best possible rate. Plus, booking now will give you peace of mind because it’s one less thing to think about later!
6) Make a list of things to do and see
1) Make a list of the places you want to visit. 2) Research all the attractions, restaurants, and activities that are available in each location. 3) Decide how much time you want to spend at each destination. 4) Create an itinerary that organizes everything into one-hour blocks of time for an entire day (or three or four days). 5) Book your flights and hotels, buy tickets for attractions and activities, and arrange transportation. 6) Pack!
7) Pack your bags
Packing for your next trip can seem daunting, but with a little planning and preparation you’ll be able to breeze through the process. These 18 steps are designed to make sure that you’re always prepared and never have to worry about forgetting an essential item again.
8) Enjoy your trip!
We hope this post helped you plan your next trip! Before we go, here are some tips for making the most of your vacation.
1) Make sure to book in advance – this will help you save money and avoid unforeseen flight cancellations. 2) Pack clothes that are versatile and appropriate for all occasions. 3) Research hotels ahead of time, so you know what to expect when you arrive. 4) Bring a guidebook with you on your trip or download one onto your phone beforehand.
Be prepared with a travel kit that includes necessities such as medications
Make sure to carry a travel kit with you when going on vacation. This will make it easy for you to stay healthy while away from home by including things like medicine and other items that are essential for your health.
Whether you’re going for a week or two on vacation, or on a business trip, make sure to travel prepared. My travel kit always includes tons of medicine. I don’t want to catch something while out on the road, so I’m prepared for anything!
It’s also a good idea to include emergency contact information into your travel kit.
Keep your passport handy at all times – don’t put it in a safe or locker
Don’t leave your passport in a safe.
I don’t want to sound like your mother, but you should keep it with you at all times because if it’s stolen then that could cause problems when going through security or leaving the country.
Always keep your passport in a place you can easily access it in case you need to make an emergency exit.
Update apps to your destination’s currency to track your spending
You can track your spending more easily if you update the apps on your phone to the destination’s currency. That way, it will be easier for you to check how much money you have left so that there are no surprises when it comes time to pay.
If you’re traveling, it’s a good idea to set your phone to the local currency so that all of your transactions are automatically labeled with their correct prices.
Fiddling around with exchange rates all the time is not worth it!
Book flights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to get the cheapest fares
The best time to book a flight is on Tuesday or Wednesday. That’s because most people are looking for flights over the weekend, so you can find some great deals if you have patience!
I first learned this trick from my flight attendant friends – and I can now confirm it works amazingly well! I’ve saved thousands of dollars by simply following this one travel hack.
Use Google Maps offline so you can still navigate even without a connection
If you’re driving or walking between places and don’t have a data connection, use Google Maps’ offline mode. It’ll still give you directions and useful information like the distance to your destination, what streets to take, and how long it’ll take to get there.
You can also download a map of your places of interest ahead of time, and then you get to use it anywhere – even on things like subways!
Carry a credit card from home country as well as one from destination country
If you are traveling to another country, it’s always a good idea to bring your credit card from your home country with you. You don’t want to rely on just one or two cards when travelling because that could be risky if one of them gets lost or stolen.
I always bring my credit card from home, as well as one from the place I’m going or alternatively an international card such as Revolut. In case anything happens, I always have a way to get money and communicate with people at home.
What are your own best travel hacks?
Traveling can be a stressful and terrifying experience, but it doesn’t have to be.
By following these simple tips, you will always know what to expect, where your passport is at all times, how much money you’re spending on flights and accommodations (and when), and most importantly, that you are ready in case of emergency.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter
and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
